Dana Salvador grew up on a family farm in northeastern Colorado and often writes about this experience in her poetry and essays. She holds a BA in English Secondary Education with an ESL endorsement from the University of Northern Colorado. In 2008, she earned her MFA at the University of New Mexico, and in 2015, she earned her National Boards for Certified Teachers. She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband and twin sons. She works as an ESL teacher in the public schools.
