Recently, while surfing the net, I saw that New Mexico is ranked as one of the worst places to raise a child. And, in some ways, I can understand. There’s the high poverty rate, the crime, the lack of money spent on education, etc. etc.
But, what about the green chili? And, the Sandia Mountains? And, sunshine most of the year? And, Spanglish being heard almost everywhere you go? And, the walking guy near the University who never wears anything except tennis shoes, his gaping running shorts and (I hope) a lot of sunscreen?
How can researchers quantify that?
